At least 14 people have been reported dead or missing due to severe and widespread flooding in Vietnam’s Dien Bien province.
The flooding began on Thursday evening, July 30, after hours of heavy rain, causing rivers to overflow, flooding, and landslides in parts of the province.
Xa Dung city was the hardest hit, with one person confirmed dead and six missing.
The local government said the province was without power and roads to some areas were closed due to the flooding.
Two children were also reported buried under a landslide in Hang Pu Xi village.
