A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck in the Hokkaido, Japan region December 8, 2025.

In relation to this, PHIVOCLS noted that there is no tsunami threats to the Philippines.

A tsunami of up to three meters (10 feet) is expected to hit Japan’s Pacific coast, the meteorological agency says, following the 7.6-magnitude earthquake.
