Dan Raymond Russel Lajera is still attempting to process the results of the 2025 Psychometrician Licensure Examination, where he not only passed but also secured the 8th highest rank nationwide. The achievement, he admits, remains almost unbelievable.
Dan added that he was happy that he only passed the examination, but that he was included in the top notcher, saying that he was “over blessed” with the result.
Bombo Radyo Cebu exclusively obtained the statement from Dan, who revealed that on October 2nd, he was preparing to travel to Bohol. He had no expectation that the exam results would be released on the very day of his trip. In fact, he only anticipated the results would come out late that night. That’s why, he said, he was overwhelmed with emotion when he read his own name among the top notchers.
Dan admitted he was confident about passing the exam, but he never expected to make the top notchers list. Ironically, he notes, the exam was not particularly in-depth or difficult, which only compounded his surprise at achieving a top rank.
Dan, who has a current job, and took a masteral class, did not see his journey to success as easy, especially during the 4 to 5 months of intensive review, for him, it was difficult to focus on the study but with the help of his great sacrifice, everything paid off.
Dan also shared his wisdom about what it is like to be a psychometrician and according to him, these are the people who are licensed mental health professionals and their colleagues in their field of work are psychologists, guidance counselors, and they are the ones who administer, conduct and interpret psychological tests. He added that psychometricians are found in mental health clinics, hospitals and also in schools.
Currently, Dan is open to all opportunities that come his way, but for now, he wants to continue his studies in MA Clinical Psychologist, and plans to take the board exam in psychology, because he wants to serve the people in the future.
