Bombo Radyo Philippines, in partnership with the Bombo Radyo Philippines Foundation, Inc. and the Philippine Red Cross, is
conducting today, November 15, 2025, the much-awaited Dugong Bombo 2025 at the SM City Cebu, 3rd Floor Cinema B-Hallway—the country’s single-day bloodiest voluntary blood donation event, simultaneously held in 25 key areas nationwide.
This year’s Dugong Bombo holds an even deeper meaning as the country continues to recover from the destructive typhoons and
the recent powerful earthquake that struck several regions. The urgent need for a stable and sufficient blood supply has
highlighted the importance of community-driven humanitarian initiatives like Dugong Bombo.
Across the country, thousands of Filipinos—from government agencies, civic organizations, religious groups, schools,
uniformed personnel, private companies, and individual donors—are once again stepping forward with courage and compassion.
Notably, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has extended its full support for this year’s bloodletting
event, encouraging the faithful to participate as a concrete expression of faith, charity, and solidarity with those in need.
For more than two decades, Dugong Bombo has served as a reliable lifeline for the blood banks, hospitals and emergency
response units, providing thousands of blood units that save countless lives each year. Its impact continues even long after the
event day—transforming simple acts of giving into powerful gestures of hope and healing.
Guided by the theme “A Little Pain, A Life to Gain,” this year’s initiative reminds every Filipino that while donating blood may
take only a few moments and a small discomfort, it can mean the difference between life and death for someone in critical need.
Despite the advances in technology, there is still no substitute for human blood when it is urgently needed.
As Dugong Bombo 2025 unfolds across the country, Bombo Radyo Philippines, in partnership with the Bombo Radyo
