Actress Maine Mendoza has defended her husband, Quezon City 1st District Representative Arjo Atayde, after he was implicated in the alleged anomalous flood control projects.
In a post, Maine called the allegations “baseless” and urged the public to wait for the truth before passing judgment.
According to Maine, Atayde did nothing wrong and served his district wholeheartedly. She added that she hopes those truly responsible are held accountable and that innocent people are not affected./
Meanwhile, Atayde has also vehemently denied the accusation and said that she never interacted with the contractors or received any benefits from the projects.
She also promised to take legal action to clear her name regarding the alleged accusations she is involved in.
