Tropical Storm Crising has intensified further, ahead of its expected landfall in extreme Northern Luzon.

The center of the storm was located 195 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

It is moving westward as it continues to approach land.

It has maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, with gusts of up to 90 km/h.

Signal No. 2 has been raised over Batanes, Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands), Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, northern and central Abra, eastern Mountain Province and Ifugao, and northern Ilocos Sur.

Signal No. 1 covers Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, the rest of Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, northern Pangasinan, northern Aurora, and northeastern Nueva Ecija.

Residents in affected areas are advised to be cautious of possible flooding, landslides, and strong winds.
