Alas Pilipinas stunned Egypt in their match at the FIVB Men’s World Championship.

Alas Pilipinas’ win is considered historic because it is their first-ever win in the said tournament.

Alas Pilipinas dominated the game and recorded a score of 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, and 25-21 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Bryan Bagunas scored 25 points, while Leo Ordiales had 21 points, and Marck Espejo scored 13 points.

With this, the Philippines has entered the Round of 16, which will begin on Thursday, September 18.
