Engineer Jude Noel P. Jarina is deeply grateful to his alma mater, Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U), for the significant role it played in his success after securing the Rank 4 spot in the April 2026 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination.
According to Jarina, the university—specifically the Electrical Engineering Department—offered excellent training for students. He noted the advantage provided to “quizzers” who participate in quiz bowls, highlighting the consistency of the department’s teaching methods.
Jarina added that participating in quiz bowls served as his foundation, especially during the review period, making the quizzes feel familiar and easy. This allowed him to focus more on major subjects he hadn’t encountered before.
Jarina, who graduated with flying colors as Summa Cum Laude, shared that it had always been his goal to be a topnotcher in the board exam. This ambition was fueled by CIT-U’s track record of producing numerous topnotchers since 2024, as well as the expertise of their instructors. Seeing this, he envisioned that he could also achieve a top spot just like the others, motivating him to work hard to enter the Top 10.
In addition to Santillan, Maglinte, and Adlawon, he is also thankful for the support of his family—his father, sibling, stepmother, and aunt—as well as his girlfriend, who he considers one of the keys to his current achievement.
