The former PAGASA Visayas Director Oscar Tabada exclusively revealed the details during a recent interview where he stated that Typhoon Tino does not have the same intensity in terms of wind speed compared to other recent typhoons such as Typhoon Odette.

However, according to its data, they have recorded wind speeds of 100 km/h, and he emphasized that the sheer volume of water dumped by Typhoon Tino remains the most significant factor of all the severe damages visible.

During an exclusive interview with the Bombo Radyo Cebu team, Tabada mentioned that he had previously said Tino would dump 1 million barrels of water across Cebu, a word that he noted accurately and precisely happened.

He then further explained that the official rainfall recorded by PAGASA was over 200 millimeters, and he clarified the calculation that 200 mm of rain, multiplied by a specific factor of 5,000, resulted in the total measured rainfall volume of millions of units dumped by Typhoon Tino.

He also stressed that Typhoon Tino is currently located over Northern Palawan and is expected to completely exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) either late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
