Nagduso ang nasud nga amerika og usa ka balaodnon nga Keep Call Centers in America Act of 2025, diin buot niini nga magdili sa mga kompanya sa US nga mag-operate sa call center gawas sa ilang nasud.
Ubos sa nahisgutang balaudnon, ang mga kompanya nga adunay komunikasyon sa serbisyo sa kostumer sa gawas sa ilang nasud dili kwalipikado nga makadawat tabang pinansyal susama sa grants ug loans gikan sa gobyerno sa US.
Samtang sa habig ni Buddy R. Villasis ang Executive Director sa Cebu ITBPM Organization (CIB.O), iyahang naasoy nga aduna nay ubay-ubay nga balaodnon ang girepresentar sa U.S. kaniadto palang apan, wala kini mapahamtang tungod sa nagsanga-sanga nga hinungdan nga makaapekto sa ekoniya sa nasud ug usab sa India, ilabi na nga adunay daghang mga empleyado sa nasud, sa Cebu nga naghatag og daghang serbisyo sa langyaw gikan sa ilahang nasud.
“Multiple bills have been introduced by American lawmakers in the past but has not prospered due to a lot of economic factors that will affect not just the PH and Indian economies (targeted by the bill) but America as well specifically their consumers that are served by our industry”
Dugang ni Villasis, bisan pamana nga wala nipasar ang mga balaudnon nga sugyot kaniadto, andam gihapon ang maong industriya alang sa bisan unsang possibleng kabag-ohan bisan sa internasyonal nga regulasyon, ilabi na sa posibleng implikasyon sa Keep Call Centers in America Act of 2025.
“The industry however is keen on securing our position and readiness for any headwinds or changes in international regulations. We are closely reviewing the recently proposed Keep Call Centers in America Act of 2025 and its potential implications for the industry. The measure intends to impose restrictions on the outsourcing of call center operations by American firms.”

“The Cebu ITBPM Organization (CIB.O), Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), among other industry associations will be in a joint push with regulators, as well as government representatives and lobby groups from the PH and the US to defend the local ITBPM sector from external threats, and create a “unified position” crucial in strengthening the country’s “collective voice.”
