Malacañang Palace has assured that First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos is in good health despite the people’s claim on her alleged involvement in the death of businessman Paolo Tantoco.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the First Lady knows the truth behind the current heated issue.

The First Lady also said that she does not want to escalate the issue further because the administration’s goal is to show the public the work and faithful service of the President to the people.

The Palace stressed that the First Lady has nothing to worry about because records show that the allegations that are now being spread are baseless.

However, she said that those who continue to spread false information to discredit the President and the administration should be more concerned about their people and not the First Lady and the Marcos administration.

Meanwhile, the government is also considering possible legal action against the backers of the fake police report that was circulated online.

According to Castro, there is a certainty that the filing of the case is timely because lies should not be allowed to prevail, especially when they come from some members of the media that could be believed by the public and create a wrong impression.

The Palace is also firm in its stance that the current administration will not be shaken despite such smear tactics.
