It is not clear that the Kabataan Partylist will lose heart, but rather strengthen their call to continue the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte to hold her accountable for the alleged anomalous spending of funds from her office and the Department of Education (DepEd) when she was secretary of the said department.

This is the response of Kabataan Partylist representative Atty. Renee Co to the unconstitutional decision of the Supreme Court on the impeachment complaint filed by various organizations, groups and associations.

She said that with the start of the 20th Congress, she will immediately pay attention to various steps to continue the impeachment proceedings against the vice president, for which the Kabataan Party is said to have filed a second impeachment complaint.

It also condemned the Supreme Court’s decision, which she said seemed to take away the right of citizens to complain about corrupt government officials.

They are frustrated with the system where, even though the complaint is not far-fetched, they are not immediately given the opportunity to be heard and thus have their complaint redressed.
