Vice President Sara Duterte urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to undergo a drug test following Senator Imee Marcos’ allegations that the First Family is using illegal drugs.
In an interview, VP Sara said that the President should show results to prove that he is still capable of leading the country.
When asked if she believed the allegations, the Vice President said that everyone who is with them in the party is said to be using drugs.
On the other hand, the Palace previously clarified that President Marcos’ drug test result was negative and that he does not intend to undergo a hair follicle test.
In this regard, VP Sara did not comment on the possibility of succeeding the President if he is removed from office because she said the situation would only get worse.
Duterte is scheduled to attend the Senate Hearing on Thursday, November 27, for the 2026 budget of the Office of the Vice President.
