Nakadawat sa P2.4-milyones nga grant ang Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) gikan sa Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) sa implementasyon sa Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) program.
Ang maong inisyatiba kay kabahin sa programa sa DOST-PCAARRD sa Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) program nga nagsuporta sa commercialization sa agriculture, aquatic, ug natural resources nga may kalabot sa pag-file sa intellectual property patents ug transferring technologies sa mga Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Matod pa ni NORSU-IPTBM project leader Johann Heinrich Malongo nga ang programa kay usa ka research and technology-ready para sa commercialization sa pagpalambo sa socio-economic progress.
Dugang niini ang ang inisyatiba kay nagtinguha sa pag-abag sa mga MSMEs ug mga kooperatiba sa ilang product diversification, sa ilang mga ekipo ug capacity-building.
