Nipagawas ang pamahayag ang Office of the Vice President (OVP) kalabot sa mga taho nga wala madayon ang pagdungog sa ilang gisugyot nga budget.
Matod sa OVP, gisalikway sa Kamara ang delegasyon nga gipangulohan sa usa ka Assistant Secretary. Bisan tuod kining taas nga opisyal kay presidential appointee, ang Balay niinsister nga kinahanglang motambong ang usa ka Undersecretary, subay sa tradisyon.
Alas 10:07 sa buntag niadtong Septiyembre 12, gipahibawo ang budget sponsor nga ang Bise Presidente mismo ang motambong sa hearing hulip sa Undersecretary, ug imbes nga ipadayon ang pagdungog, gipili sa sponsor nga i-postpone kini.
Matod pa sa pamahayag sa OVP, ang House of Representatives ang nagdumili sa pagdawat sa delegasyon sa OVP nga gipangulohan sa Assistant Secretary – kinsa usa ka taas nga opisyal tungod sa status nga presidential appointee – nga nagkutlo sa house tradition ug nag-ingon nga ang usa ka Undersecretary kinahanglan nga motambong.
“For the information of the public, it was the House of Representatives that declined to accept the OVP delegation led by the Assistant Secretary — who is a senior official by reason of the status as presidential appointee — citing House tradition and stating that an Undersecretary should attend. At 10:07AM of September 12, the budget sponsor was duly informed that the Vice President herself would attend the hearing in lieu of an Undersecretary. However, instead of proceeding with the hearing, the budget sponsor opted to defer it and instructed the VP and the OVP group not to go to the HOR,”pahayag sa OVP.
